One of the common conditions we help with is Knee Pain the aching, stiffness, and instability that make every step a calculation.
Here’s something that surprises many of our clients: the knee is often the victim, not the culprit. The knee is a hinge caught between the hip above and the foot below, and when the muscles that control it — the quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, and hip muscles — become tight or imbalanced, the knee absorbs the consequences.
We see knee pain from many sources: overuse from running, sports, and training spikes; tight quadriceps and IT bands pulling the kneecap out of its smooth track; weak hips altering leg alignment; old injuries that never fully resolved; and the everyday load of stairs, squatting, and long days on your feet. In most cases, tight and overworked soft tissue around the knee is a major part of the picture — and that’s exactly what we address.
What are the symptoms of Knee Pain?
Knee pain shows up differently depending on the source: an ache around or behind the kneecap, sharp pain on the inner or outer knee, stiffness after sitting, or a deep soreness after activity. Stairs are a common flashpoint — especially going down. Kneeling, squatting, and getting up from low chairs often become movements you brace for.
Many people also describe swelling after activity, a feeling of tightness behind the knee, grinding or clicking sensations, or moments where the knee feels unstable — like it might give way.
The knock-on effects add up quickly. Runners cut mileage, gym-goers skip leg day, and daily life gets quietly rearranged around the knee — avoiding stairs, dreading long walks, choosing chairs strategically. And because avoiding movement weakens the very muscles the knee depends on, waiting usually makes things worse, not better.

What Is Our Approach To Fixing / Treating Knee Pain?
We start by assessing the whole lower body — not just the knee. We look at the flexibility and balance of your quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, IT band, and hip muscles, and at how you move, to understand what’s actually loading the knee incorrectly.
Hands-on treatment focuses on releasing the tight, restricted tissue that’s straining the joint: loosening the quadriceps and IT band to let the kneecap track smoothly, easing tension in the hamstrings and calves, and freeing up the hips so the whole leg aligns and moves better. As tension around the joint releases, pressure on the painful structures drops and the knee gets the chance to calm down.
We’ll also give you targeted stretches and practical guidance for stairs, training, and daily activity so your progress holds. Whether your goal is running a 10K or simply taking the stairs without thinking about it, our aim is a knee you can rely on again.
