Red Light Therapy

Are you tired of persistent aches, stiffness, or the nagging sense that your body isn’t performing at the level you’d like? I’m David Niyazov, and I’m excited to offer Red Light Therapy at Spacibo Therapeutic Massage in Coral Springs – a gentle, drug-free, non-invasive way to ease pain, speed up your recovery, and help you move more freely.

To deliver it, I use the Kineon MOVE+, a clinically backed, medical-grade red light therapy device that combines LED and laser technology to send healing light deep into your joints and soft tissue.

What Is Red Light Therapy?

Red Light Therapy – known in clinical research as photobiomodulation – uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate healing at the cellular level. Unlike surface treatments that only address symptoms, this therapy reaches deep into the tissue and works from the inside out to:

  • Reduce inflammation and speed tissue repair
  • Improve circulation and oxygen flow
  • Encourage collagen production and healthier joints
  • Ease muscle tension and support recovery

Simply put, it’s a smart, scientifically backed approach to help you move more freely and feel more vibrant.

The Science Behind Red Light Therapy

Light isn’t just something you see – at the right wavelengths it’s a signal your cells can use. Here’s what happens, in three steps:

1. Light absorption. Red (around 660 nm) and near-infrared (around 808–880 nm) light penetrate the skin and are absorbed by your cells – specifically by the mitochondria, the “powerhouses” that produce your cellular energy.

2. A cellular energy boost. The light is absorbed by an enzyme in the mitochondria called cytochrome c oxidase. This boosts production of ATP (the fuel your cells run on), supports healthier cell function, and reduces oxidative stress – giving your body more of what it needs to repair itself.

3. Less pain and inflammation. With cells working more efficiently, tissues can heal faster. The result is reduced inflammation, improved circulation, and relief from joint pain and stiffness.

The near-infrared laser wavelengths used by the Kineon MOVE+ stay focused and reach roughly 5–6 cm into the body – deep enough to reach the joint capsule, cartilage, and the muscle beneath, which most surface-level LED panels can’t do.

What the Research Shows

Photobiomodulation is one of the more studied recovery technologies, with thousands of clinical papers behind it. A few highlights:

  • A systematic review and meta-analysis found low-level laser therapy significantly reduces pain and disability in knee osteoarthritis versus placebo, with benefits lasting through follow-up.
  • In a double-blind trial of meniscal (knee) injuries, the light therapy group saw a 65% reduction in pain after just four weeks, compared with 22% for placebo.
  • Reviews of muscle recovery show pre-exercise photobiomodulation can lower markers of muscle damage and improve performance.
  • Research also points to meaningful pain relief across neck pain, low back pain, and shoulder tendinopathy.

Results vary from person to person, and red light therapy works best as part of a consistent, well-rounded recovery plan – which is exactly how we use it here, alongside the hands-on massage work that has earned us over 200 five-star reviews on Google.

Red Light Therapy is a wellness service and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results vary. Please consult your physician before beginning any new therapy.
